1 1 B2 -The Sentinel For the Record www.cumberlink.com Monday, February 5, 2007 Grace E. Lehman, 82, of Newville, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, in Green Ridge Village, Newville. She was born on Nov. 24, 1924, in Shippensburg, and was a daughter of the late William Mont Sr.

and Martha Keefer Witter. Mrs. Lehman is survived by her husband Lester H. Lehman. She served in the U.S.

Army during World War II as a surgical technician. Mrs. Lehman was a cafeteria worker for many years at the Newville Elementary School. She belonged to the Newville First Church of God, was a life member of American Legion Post No. 421, and had belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Friendship Hose Company No.

1, Newville. She also volunteered with the Big Spring Area Food Bank and the Neighbors in Christ. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dianna "Katie" (and her husband, Ronnie) Stouffer of Newville; four sons, Steven M. (and his wife, Anna Marie) Lehman, Randy L. (and his wife, Beverly) Lehman, Joseph H.

(and his wife, Roxann) Lehman and Thomas G. (and his wife, Dawn) Lehman, all of Newville; a stepdaughter, Martha (and her hus- Grace E. Lehman Obituaries band, William) Russell of Shippensburg; a stepson, William (and his wife, Carol) Lehman of Lenexa, two sisters, Helen Watson of Shippensburg and Anna Mary Roll of Chambersburg; two brothers, David Witter of Minot, N.D., and Jack Witter of Shippensburg; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a step-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Lindsey and Leisa Lehman; a grandson, Brian Lehman; a stepson, Richard Lehman; five brothers, Lester, William Jim, Donald and Glenn Witter; and a sister, Margaret Myers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.

today, in the Newville First Church of God with the Rev. Wayne Good officiating. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to p.m. today at the church.

Burial with military honors will follow services in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newville First Church of God, 475 Shippensburg Road, Newville, PA 17241 or to the Big Spring Area Food Bank, P.O. Box 82, Newville, PA 17241. Weidner Leroy C. Weidner, 82, of 597 Peach GlenIdaville Road in Gardners, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at the Gettysburg Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1924, in Cumberland County to the late Chalmer and Mary Kline Weidner. Leroy retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot as a shop foreman.

He was a former employee of Huntington Township, having served for over 30 years on the township planning commission and as a former township supervisor. Leroy was a 1941 graduate of Carlisle High School. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Goodyear, and served on the church council. He was also a former president of council and a former sexton of the church.

He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the Biglerville American Legion, the National Rifle Association and NARFE. Leroy was a World War II Army veteran, serving in Germany. Leroy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline Warner Wei- dner; three sons, Ronald L. of New Oxford, and Wayne B. and Dennis both of Gardners; a daughter, Sandra Johnson of Lincolnton, N.C.; two brothers, Elzin Weidner and R.

Normal Weidner, both of Gardners; two sisters, Marian Paxton of Mechanicsburg and Katherine Rowles of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Leroy was preceded in death by two sons, Merle who died on Oct. 25, 1987, and Mark who died on April 10, 1978; and a sister, Janet Rowles, who died in 1958. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.

7, in his church, 4200 Carlisle Road, Gardners, with the Rev. Kenneth G. Swick officiating. A visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.

Burial will be in the Goodyear Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to his church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.

Nancy Lee Swarner Nancy Lee of 306 Touchstone Drive, South Middleton Township, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at her home. She was born on Sept. 10, 1933, in Carlisle, to the late Oren and Margaret McCulloch Kitzmiller. She and her husband, Earl, were founders of the Whirl-AWay Square Dance Club in 1972.

She was a member of the First Church of The Brethren in Carlisle, the Women's Fellowship, and a member of Cumberland County Farm Women's Group No. 1. She is survived by her husband, Earl B. Swarner Jr. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 7, in her church, 1340 Forge Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Melanie Jones officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m.

Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Mt. Holly Springs.

Snyder Kathryn L. Snyder, 87, of Strayer Drive in Carlisle, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at the Harrisburg Hospital. Born on Aug. 19, 1919, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the Robert L.

and Ida Finkenbinder Killan and the widow of Lee E. Snyder, who passed away in 2000. Kathryn was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and the Carlisle Commercial College. She was a retired employee of Carlisle Tire and Rubber with 45 years of service as a secretary. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle, a member of WELCA and a church office volunteer.

She was also a member of the AARP. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy (and her husband, Jim) Hartline of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Heather Hartline of Mechanicsburg and Jason Hartline of Carlisle; and a sister-inlaw, Martha Shughart of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Holly Hartline. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.

7, in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. High Carlisle, with the Rev. Charles A. Brophy officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
