AVCO Sentinel Thursday, July 13, 1972 Car Hits Trees; Driver Uninjured Andy C. McKee, 25, of 27 W. High was uninjured after his car struck four trees on property of the Holiness Christian Church this morning. Carlisle Police said his car went off the road at and Franklin Sts. at 4:55 a.m.

Graber, 28, of Troy, was injured on Township Route 546 this morning. Police said his car went off the road and struck a tree near the intersection of Route 74 at 1 a.m. Graber was treated and released at Carlisle Hospital.

State Police also a tractor-trailer accident on I-81 at 3:15 p.m. yesterday. Police said the operator, William Morningstar of Martinsburg, W. apparently fell asleep at wheel. The truck went off the highway about one mile north of the Newville exit.

Wilbur Mumper, 72, of 523 Main Newville, and Mary E. Bowers, 39, of RD1 Shippensburg were drivers of cars which collided at 4:45 p.m. yesterday. Edward Carroll, 62, pastor of Memorial United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, was elected a bishop of the church at the Northeastern Jurisdictional Conference here Wednesday. He received 255 votes of the total 401. To be elected bishop, the candidate must receive at least 241 votes. Bishop-elect Carroll will be consecrated to his office Friday, at a service closing the conference. He and eight other new bishops will be assigned to different territories at the end of the conference.

Fritz, Royersford; 2 sons, Raymond M. Bartges, Royersford and Clayton W. Bartges, Birdsboro; 6 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday from the J. Robert Stone Funeral Home, Royersford.

Lindsey HARRISBURG Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Friday for Herman A. Lindsey, 62, of 902 N. Green St. He died Tuesday at home. He was a retired machinist's helper with the Penn Central Railroad.

Among his survivors are two brothers, Harold D. Lindsey of Shippensburg and Arthur E. Lindsey of Newville; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Ryan of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Mary Russel and Mrs.

Hazel Worthington of Shippensburg; 33 grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. Services will be held at the Neumyer Funeral Home, 1334 N. 2d with Brigadier Arthur Williamson, Salvation Army, officiating. Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9.

John J. Stauffer HARRISBURG Funeral services will be held at 11 Friday for John J. Stauffer, 77, of 2443 Canby St. He died Tuesday at home. He was a retired employe of TRW, a World War I army veteran, a member of the Penbrook Lions Club and Harrisburg Moose Lodge 107.
