She was a retired sample maker for the U-Wana-Wash Frocks of Newville. She was born in Lower Mifflin Township and was the daughter of the late Ira and Daisy McMullin Hockensmith.

She attended the Green Spring Church of God. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6070, Newville and did sewing for the Applachian Christian Ministry. Surviving are her husband, Clair two daughters, Miss Linda Lehman, Camp Hill and Mrs. Donna Howell, RD1 Newport; five sons, Robert RD4 Newville; Edgar Eagle River, Alaska; John RD1 May F. May F.

Brenner, 87, Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, died Tuesday at the village. She was a retired high school teacher from Boiling Springs School District and Woodbury School District, New Jersey. She was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church and was a widow of W. Joseph Brenner. Surviving are four sisters, Mabel Babcock, Lewisberry; Eva Herr and C.

Chloe C. Chloe Morrison, formerly of Boiling Springs, died Thursday in the Cumberland County Nursing Home in Middlesex Twp. She was the daughter of the late George P. and Bessie Reighter Reggelman and resided most of her life in Boiling Springs. She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School, Hagerstown, was a retired employee of the Carlisle Shoe Company; member of the St.

John's Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs; and a charter member of the auxiliary of the VFW Post in Boiling Springs. F. Lehman Liverpool; Gary RD4 Newville and Michael Plainfield; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Hoover, Carlisle; six brothers, Leroy, Albert and Bruce, RD3 Newville: Robert Hockensmith, RD4 Newville, Orville Hockensmith, Newville and James Hockensmith, Carlisle; 14 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.

at the Egger Funeral Home, 15 Big Spring Newville, with the Rev. K. Hull Byers officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received one hour before services.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Brenner Cathrin Edwards, both of Bethany Village and Olive Wester, Pittman, New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Bethany Village Chapel.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Arrangements made by the Neill Funeral Home, Camp Hill. Morrison Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Morrison, Mt.

Holly Springs; one step-son, J. Roy Morrison, one step-daughter, Hazel Lee Biddle, Beaver Fall; one sister, Ruth Whitney, Hagerstown; three grandchildren, three step and several great-granchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Carlisle, with the Rev.

Sterlen S. Sheaffer, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Monroe Twp. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m.

until time of the service. Violet V. Elsesser Violet V. Elsesser, 78, of MedaNipple Convalescent Home, Thompsontown, died Thursday. She was a member of Whiteland United Methodist Church and was a retired seamstress from the former East Salem Shirt Factory.

Surviving are a son, Melvin Renninger of RD1 Thompstown; two stepdaughters, Geraldine Cramer, RD1 Thompstown, and Mildred Willow, RD1 Liverpool; a brother, Home P. Bookwalter, Carlisle; and three grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and 23 step-greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Yeisley Funeral Home, McAlisterville, with the Rev. Phillip May officiating.

PolicE Man injured in truck crash A Newport area man suffered severe injuries Thursday when his pickup truck collided with a flatbed truck in Reed Township, Dauphin County. Hershey Medical Center officials said 56-year-old Clark R. Stitzel, RD1, remains in critical condition. Stitzel was flown to the hospital by Life Lion helicopter, after being trapped for about an hour. State police at Newport said the accident occurred about 6:20 p.m.

on Route 22-322, west of the Clarks Ferry Bridge. Stitzel's westbound pickup crossed into the center lane into the path of an eastbound truck driven by 61-year-old Herman C. McNeal of Todd. Following impact, police said McNeal's truck swerved, crossed into the westbound lanes and hit the side of a westbound car driven by Roger E. Conaway, RD1, Osceola Mills.

Police said McNeal and Conaway area was restricted for about were not injured. Traffic through the hours as rescue personnel cleared the scene. Man homeless after fire A Mt. Holly Springs man is temporarily homeless after an accidental fire extensively damaged his residence Thursday night. Borough fire Chief Ivan Bretzman said David N.

Carr, 15 East was asleep in the living room about 11:55 p.m. when he was awakened by smoke. When firefighters arrived, flames were visible along the entire south wall. Bretzman said the dining room and a bedroom directly above it sustained heavy damage, and the entire house sustained considerable heat and smoke damage. The loss was estimated at $35,000.

State police at Carlisle said the fire began in a wood stove. Mt. Holly Springs firefighters were assisted by volunteers from Cumberland-Good Will in Carlisle and South Middleton Township. There were no injuries, Bretzman said. Though the blaze was under control in about 15 minutes, Bretzman said firefighters were on the scene until about 2 a.m.

Bretzman said Carr, whose house was completely remodeled after an October 1986 fire, will live with a neighbor. Fire destroyed this Jeep in a Shiremanstown blaze on Thursday. (Story at right). Jeep destroyed in heater fire A Pittsburgh man's Jeep was destroyed Thursday when a lit kerosene heater apparently tipped over as she drove through Shiremanstown.
