For the Record Obituaries Douglas G. Swartz Douglas G. Swartz, 79, formerly of 509 Carlisle, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, in the Thornwald Home, Carlisle. Born July 29, 1915, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late William D.

and Esther Bitzenberg Swartz. He was a former employee of Cochran and Allen Hardware Store of Carlisle, Patriot News of Harrisburg, Charles Adler Real Estate, and retired from Kent D. Swartz Co. He was a 1933 graduate of Carlisle High School. He was a member of St.

Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. He also was a member of the Y's Men's Club of Carlisle YMCA. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Hyman Swartz; one son, Kent D. of Naples, one daughter, Vicki D. Wright of Middletown; one sister, Winifred C.

Swartz of Carlisle; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard A.

Ruff officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township. There will be no viewing; however, friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St.

Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther Carlisle 17013 or to the Thornwald Home, 442 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle 17013. Edward Delesky Edward Delesky, 69, of 820 Hamilton Carlisle, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center, South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County. Born Dec.

18, 1924, in Manville, N.J., he was a son of the late Walter and Connie Pitinsky Delesky. He retired with 20 years service from the U.S. Navy and also was retired with 20 years of service from a busing company in Woodstock, Va. He served during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Janice Saums Delesky; one son, Steven, at home; one daughter, Judy Ann Cosgrove of Tampa, and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County. There will be no viewing or visitation. 5, 1994, in the Church of God Home, Carlisle. Born Sept. 5, 1912, in Newville, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Nora Hoover Barrick. She was the widow of Joseph H. Salisbury.

Man reports tires slashed A Mechanicsburg man's car was vandalized Wednesday along East Meadow Drive. Police reports say someone sliced two tires on a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora belonging to Robert Saidis, of the 300 block of East Meadow Drive. Man facing five more counts A 26-year-old inmate at Cumberland County Prison was arrested on an outstanding warrant Wednesday. Carlisle police reports say Mark V. King, 26, was served with the warrant at the prison about 3:30 p.m. King allegedly cashed two forged checks at the PNC Bank in the MJ Carlisle Mall on July 5 and 7. The checks were allegedly stolen from Francis Collins of Dillsburg.
