Thursday, April 29, 1993 The Sentinel, Carlisle, Pa. B2 Obifusrio i L. Fishing fun Kathryn B. Davis Kathryn B. Davis, 77, of Bethany Towers, 335 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday in Harris-burg Hospital.

Born Nov. 14, 1915, in Norfolk, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Mary M. Shell-haus Buchanan. She was a retired owner and operator of Septic Tanks, Mechan-icsburg. She was a member of St.

Luke's Episcopal Church, Mechan-icsburg. She was a volunteer at the Thrift Shop at Bethany Towers. Surviving are one daughter, Lynne R. Rickenbach of Allentown; one son, James F. Jr.

of Basking Ridge, one sister, Margaret A. Foster of Bohanan, four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in St Luke's Episcopal Church, 8 E. Keller Mechanicsburg, with the Rev.

Roy S. Turner officiating. Burial will be in the church columbarium. Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Resident's Council, Bethany Towers, 335 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg 17055.

Creek in Boiling Springs Wednesday afternoon. Gloria Steel Goodman Miller, 66, of 118 Fifth Chambersburg, died Wednesday in Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 15, 1926, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Clayton and Dorothy LaRue Goodman.

She was the widow of Benjamin Franklin Miller, who died Nov. 24, 1989. She was a receptionist in the radiology department of Chambersburg Hospital for over 26 years, retiring July 1, 1991. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Chambersburg. She was associated with the Franklin County Can Surmount in Chambersburg.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey James of Chambersburg and Gregory Scott of Carlisle, and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 1 a.m. Monday in First Lutheran Church, West Washington Street, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Charles M. Heaps officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chambersburg. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Chambersburg Hospital, 112 N. Seventh Chambersburg 17201. v.

'v Ellen M. Smyers Surviving are one son, Ralph F. Smyers of Carlisle; one daughter, Helen S. Cole of Carlisle; three grandchildren; and two Services for Ellen M. Smyers, 88, formerly of 44 Walnut Carlisle, will be held at 10 a.m.

Friday in St. Patrick's Shrine Church, 140 E. Pomfret Carlisle. She died Tuesday in Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, 1000 W.

South Carlisle. Born Oct. 24, 1904, in Dudley, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Jane Welsh McCarthy. She was the widow of Ralph E. Smyers, who died April 2, 1986.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, North Middleton Township. The Rev.

Andrew J. Fontanella will officiate. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Carlisle, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Holly Springs. Surviving are four sisters, Hazel Fire calls I Louther Street, had his bike parked at the side of the building. Someone, between the hours, of noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday, stole the bike. The bike is worth $75.

Police charge 15-year-old Carlisle police charged a 15-year-old for harassment after he allegedly hit an adult in the face, twice. Laurie A. Myers was not injured in the incident, police say. Police say the juvenile engaged in verbal confrontation with Ms. Myers and then struck her in the face Tuesday around 4 p.m.

Rabbit stolen A female rabbit was stolen from a cage in the back yard of a Mechan-. icsburg residence. Mechanicsburg police say Toni Spiewak, first block of East Keller Street, reported the rabbit stolen between 7:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A parked out-of-state vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle in Mechanicsburg. Mechanicsburg police say Joseph Torsani, of Oakton, was visiting Charles Ryder, 100 block of South Market Street in Mechanicsburg. Torsani 's vehicle, belonging to Consolidated Safety Services of Oakton, was struck sometime between 4 p.m. on Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. today while it was parked near Ryder's residence.

Police say the mirror off Torsani's vehicle was broken off by the mirror of the striking vehicle, headed north on South Market Street. Pieces of mirror at the scene, police say, show the striking vehicle to be a pickup truck. The passenger side mirror of the striking vehicle; was completely broken off. Driver treated, released A Carlisle man was injured Wednesday morning when his pickup truck struck two bales of hay on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. -a Harvey Spankvch, 50, Carlisle, was eastbound about 5:45 a.m.

Carlisle police say Michael Har-rod, 37, of the first block of East Pomfret Street, discovered someone kicked his vehicle Tuesday night. Harrod reported damage estimate at $200.

Bike stolen in Carlisle An unlocked, men's 10-speed bike was stolen from a building in Carlisle. Carlisle police say Richard B.
