B2 Wednesday, December 13, 1995, The Sentinel, Carlisle, Pa Guidance Daniel E. Capp Workers guide a concrete beam into place at the construction on South Hanover Street in Carlisle Tuesday. The section of concrete will eventually form part of the floor for a senior citizen building being built at the Alliance Home. Services for Daniel E. Capp, 71, of Mechanicsburg, will be at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday in Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main Mechanicsburg. He died Monday, Dec. 1 1, 1995, in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township. Born July 4, 1924, in New Kingstown, he was a son of C.

Herbert Capp of Carlisle and the late Emma Weaver Capp. He was retired from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Township, and the Public School Employee Retirement System. He was a member of Immanuel Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Mechanicsburg. He also was a member of American Legion Post' 109 of Mechanicsburg and was a past president of Washington Fire Co. of Mechanicsburg.

He was an Army veteran of World WarIL In addition to his fattier, surviving are his wife, Ruth Capp; one son. Merle G. of Enola; one daughter, Cathy Bell of Mechanicsburg; three stepsons, Lloyd Paul M. and Barry L. Kramer, all of Mechanicsburg; one sister, Frances Pierce of Ohio; and eight grandchildren.

The Rev. Joseph Arthur will officiate at Thursday's service. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Harrisburg Area Chapter, 2600 N. Third Harrisburg 17110, or to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Suite 200, Wormleysburg 17043.

Bill Smith The Sentinel Sara M. Germain few" Crash injures Hershey man A 43-year-old man was flown to a Services for Sara M. Germain, 76, of the Alliance Home, 770 S. Hanover Carlisle, formerly of Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, will be at 1 1 a.m. Friday in Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Harrisburg, and at 7 p.m.

Friday at the Alliance Home. She died Monday, Dec. 11, 1995, in Carlisle Hospital. Born Sept. 25, 1919, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late John M.

and Mary Ellen Shoop Har-ro. She was a retired nurse anesthetist from Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg. She was a graduate of Susquehanna Township High School, Central Pennsylvania Business College, Wheaton College in Wheaton, 111., Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in Baltimore, and Lancaster General School of Anesthesia. She was a medical missionary in India under the Evangelical Alliance Mission and founded the first native school of anesthesia in Chinchpada, India. Surviving are three brothers, George Harro of Waukegan, 111., Thomas Harro of Kankakee, 111., and Dr.

Dale Harro of Demar, N.Y.; and two sisters, Mary Schnaithmann of Linglestown and Dorothy Hoeflich of Harrisburg. The Rev. Marvin Hoffman will officiate at Friday's services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m.

Friday at the funeral home. Burglar strikes near Newville State police in Carlisle are looking for information about a school burglary near Newville. Police reports say someone entered the Frankford Elementary School along Enola Road between 5 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The thief took a television, two video cassette recorders and a cordless telephone. Police say there were no signs of forced entry. The loss is estimated at $500. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 249-2121. VCR stolen from home Carlisle police are investigating an apartment burglary.

John Wenger, 33, of the first block of North Pitt Street, Carlisle, told police that someone entered his apartment between 1 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 a.m. today. The thief removed a Quasar VH 220 video cassette recorder worth about $250. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 243-5252.

Chipper stolen from residence A Carlisle man reported his wood chipper was stolen from behind his home. Ritter Adams, 82, of the 400 block of North Colege Street, told Carlisle police someone stole a five-horsepower MTD wood chipper from the rear of residence. Police checked the area and found two sets of footprints in the snow leading away from the scene. The theft occurred between 4 p.m. Monday and 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday. The loss is estimated at $500. Two treated after wreck Two men were treated at Cham-bersburg Hospital following a one-vehicle accident in Hopewell Township Tuesday morning. State police in Carlisle say Travis A. Neil, 18, of Dry Run was driving a 1989 Ford pickup truck north on Route 696 when he failed to make a sharp turn about 5:10 a.m.

The truck ran off the road and struck a "large tree" about one mile north of Ridge Road. Neil and his passenger, Seth D. Moore, 18, of Spring Run, were treated at Chambersburg Hospital and released, hospital sources say. hospital following a one-vehicle accident in Penn Township Tuesday afternoon. State police in Carlisle say Gregory Scott, 43, of Hershey was driving a 1991 Dodge Spirit north on Route 233 when he lost control for an unknown reason about 5:20 p.m.

The car ran off the road and struck a utility pole on the driver's side about 210ths of a mile south of South Side Drive. Burial will be in Goodyear Cemetery, Dickinson Township. There will be no viewing or visitation. Services for Kathy C.S. Bender, 40, of 80 Chestnut Ridge Road, Gardners, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Carlisle Road, Gardners. She died Monday, Dec. 11, 1995, in her home. Born Feb. 21, 1955, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of Delmar and Helen Starner of Gardners.

She was the first deputy recorder in the Recorder of Deeds Office for Cumberland County. She was a 1973 graduate of Carlisle High School. She was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and the Governors Club. Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, Mt.

He was born Aug. 8, 1926, in He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was formerly an automobile mechanic and welder in Carlisle. He was a member of American Legion Post 101 and a life member VFW Post 477, both of Carlisle.
